Safe Haven

«On those occasions, when the amount of unanswered questions, dangerously defied his ability to make sense of the direction his life was taking, every atom of his being compelled him to seek guidance beneath the night sky, where he could benefit from the reassuring cover of the darkness and consciously reduce the probability of being caught out of guard, bearing his vulnerability.»
By Raquel R. in Short Story number 11

«By my intimacy with nature I find myself withdrawn from man. My interest in the sun and the moon, in the morning and the evening, compels me to solitude.»
                                                                                 Henry David Thoreau

Wind

«The late night breeze came in, unexpectedly, through the open window, revolving the hot and dense air. The tinkling sound of the wind-chime propagated its melody through every room in the house and that sudden stir on the quiet atmosphere propelled his energy levels to the point of felling a hint of restlessness taking over him.»
By Raquel R. in Short Story number 11

«The wind must have heard your voice once. It echoes and sings like you.»

«Time is an illusion»

«He might as well surrender to the evidences, and accept the fact, that the concept of time has different meanings to men and women.»

By Raquel R. in Short Story number 6

Peace of mind

«He closed his eyes and felt the serene tranquility of those who have found peace of mind.»

«Sanity may be madness! But the maddest of all - to see life as it is and not as it should be.»
                                                                                   Miguel de Cervantes

Moral Courage

«This insatiable urgency that resided inside him, of escaping the suffocating system that constrained his freedom, condemned him to live as an outcast.»
By Raquel R. in Short Story number 4

«Few men are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality of those who seek to change a world which yields most painfully to change.»
                                                                                                Ernest Hemingway
